  • @texasblaze1 Nope you've got it all wrong. The Republicans are trying to stop FURTHER running up of the bills. We have money to pay current debts, military, SS, medicare, etc. $200 billion per month revenue coming in. There is no default. This about future spending.

  • "Raising the debt ceiling is a failure in leadership, and bad for America. Unless, I am elected President and have begun to implement my plan for destroying America. If that happens, then I definitely want a really, really high debt ceiling. Like unbelievably high."

    -Senator Obama

  • Well said Rep Stearns.

  • @scotman74 If you're going to quote someone, quote something they actually said.

  • @scotman74 The sheeple only pay enough attention to hear what Obama says on national TV, that's why they blame the republicans for everything. Obama has no conscience when it comes to spending.

  • Ron Paul is the answer, he saw all of this coming. Wake up and vote Ron Paul for president in 2012!

  • Jamesaowen you honestly think thats its any of Obama's policies that has risen the debt so high? What about the wars that Bush borrowed trillions for? What about the unprecedented tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans? What has Obama done that could even come close to the spending from the Bush administration?

  • Obama is a hypocritical liar.

  • @federalwarhawk hahahaha (ahem) I mean I know, you are so right. There also need to be some more random bridges and buildings named after congressmen, abstract art projects, and studies on long-term effects of snail migration added into this bill. If I could just be King of America for about 3 years I think I could fix everything.

  • @scotman74 I wish congress would stop wasting time on this debt ceiling issue, and go back to dealing with real problems that have an impact on this country, like holding hearing about baseball players taking steroids, and banning floresent lightbulbs, playoffs for college football teams, or how to get mc'Donalds to stop putting toys with a happy meals. you know, important stuff !
