Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey - Gameplay

Released on October 8th, "Strange Journey" tells of how a giant magnetic hole has appeared in the Antartic and is slowly expanding, absorbing everything in its path. You're dispatched as part of Operation Schwarzbirth to find out what's inside but things don't go well at all.

Basically it's a dungeon crawler with all the traits of the MegaTen series, talking to, befriending and fusing demons then using them to battle against the others. The main cycle of the game is you're given a mission aboard the Red Sprite and you must go off to carry it out. Scattered throughout the dungeons are little traps and materials for building new equipment or items to help you survive.
