@JediXt Its not about the ball hitting the floor, its when he releases the ball. That being said, it still might be a travel

@droctagon3k
It's not the fake that's the issue, Amare did keep his foot planted there. It's after he comes down and puts his right foot forward. He plants his right foot, lifts his left foot (his original pivot foot) and starts moving towards the basket before he puts the ball on the floor. That's where the travel occurred, not on the fake.
If you freeze the video around the 14 second mark you'll see his left foot lifted and the ball having not hit the floor yet.

@JediXt no i disagree, he catches the ball and both feet are touching the floor, it looks like he is steppin across but both his feet are in contact with the floor and his body moves left looking like he is landing on his left foot. So he can choose either foot as pivot obviously,

@droctagon3k
He lifted his right foot to sell the fake, making it his pivot foot. He then plant his right forward then lifted his left (his pivot foot) before the ball made contact with the floor. In fact, his left foot is almost planted in front of his right by the time the ball makes contact with the floor.
Again, it's -not the fake that's the issue-. It's when he starts moving to the basket and the fact he didn't put the ball on the floor before he started his drive.

To answer the two most common questions on this video.
The Music: It's the end few seconds of We Are Godzilla, You Are Japan by Lostprophets from the album Start Something.
Travel/Not Travel: Amare lifted his pivot foot before he put the ball on the floor, therefor it's a travel. Still, looked cool and wasn't called. That's the NBA for you.

TRAVEL!

Just to clear this up, this was a travel because Amare lifted his pivot foot before he put the ball on the floor (on the drive itself, not the actual fake). But it wasn't called, either because he didn't really gain an advantage from it coz Pau had already gone past him, or because it's the NBA, and even though it's not the early 2000s anymore, traveling is still pretty loosely officiated
Either way, yeah, it's a travel, but it looked cool.
