Scottie Pippen scores 35 points and adds 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks vs. the Suns. His defense against Barkley was the key to the game. Barkley was taking advantage of the Bulls weak interior defense until Pippen started guarding him making a series of great defensive plays. As a result Pippen held Barkley without a score for nearly 2 qtrs and the Bulls took over the game.

  • It's rarely said about a player but it was always a pleasure to watch Scottie Pippen play defense. His combination of insticts, defensive awareness, athletic ability and technique were unmatched by any perimeter player. The things Pippen is doing on defense in this clip hasn't been done by another player since. What a fuckin beast.

  • And also RIP Chuck Daly...a great basketball mind and commentator.

  • Perry scared as hell, A.C. Green cant jump to block a shot and Majerle cant pick some guy to defend. Phoenix Suns on finals ? How could that happen ? I think Barkley is a entire team as he handles damn entry passes of the Phoenix Suns! The simplest fundamental in the game and his fucking mates keep doing it wrong. They broke down Charles monster Sir Charles

  • is #35 for chicago greg foster (the same guy who played for utah against the bulls in 97 and 98 finals)?

  • @rigz0000 So MJ & Pippen made it work because they were so talented and versatile but there are a lot more teams that had a lot more talent and depth. Celtics have Kg, Pierce, Ray Allen. Another Houston team had Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley, Yao. Even the Twolves had KG, Cassell, Sprewell. Portland had Damon Stoudemire all the way to Sabonis. Kings had Bibby, Jackson to WEbber & Divac. You're talking about MJ & Pippen compared to teams that had more All Stars & depth all the way to the bench

  • @rigz0000 Other teams had more All Stars on their teams & then had role players. MJ & Pippen won the 1st 3 rings with other palyers being role players &then they added Rodman. They had designated shooters & rebounders. All the other teams I mentioned had 3 All Stars & then role players. Last years Mavericks team was stacked from Nowitzki all the way to JJ Barea. Few teams have done well with less. IVerson was the only All Star for his team. D Rose is another. Kb has always had talented teams

  • @rigz0000 Unfair?! Others had more talent split amongst their entire team. Sure Pippen & MJ were great, but look at the Lakers having Magic, Kareem, Worthy as the main 3. Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge. Houston with Barkley, Olajuwon, Drexler. Pistons with Isiah, Dumars, Rodman, Laimbeer. Shaq with Kobe, Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Malone, Payton. Kobe with Gasol, Odom, Artest. Heat with Lebron, Wade, Bosh. MJ & Pippen were the main 2 for the first 3 rings, then they added Rodman.

  • Pippen was putting up sick numbers that year best all around player

  • barkley saw this and disliked this

  • Watching this game made me realize how to play against players stronger than me who like to post up. Thank you Scottie, you have improved my game.

  • The 90's Bulls without Michael Jordan is like the BK Whooper withhout the meat... lol

  • after watching this, now i know why some people complaining and whining jordan and pippen should not be on the same team...its fuckin' unfair for the other...the reason is very obvious in this vid...
