  • @oliviafan1 Dolly was one of the NAMES that started A.C.E after Olivia won a CMA award but Dolly want active at all! This was during the time she was working for Porter & he was one of the main supporters of ACE & what Porter did...Dolly did!

  • This show was far superior to her 1980s show!!!

  • oliviafan1 - I read that, too, but I also read that she was there and supported Olivia. I know Dolly's sister wrote Ode To Olivia. I have the single. Dolly is such an accepting person, I doubt she ever was against Olivia. Somewhere on youtube, I saw a video where Olivia and Dolly sings together. I can't find it again. I wish I could now. Evidently Dolly followed in Olivia's footsteps when she went Pop. Either way, I love them both. Both are great people and legends.

  • Thanks for posting. But wasnt Dolly Parton one of the people that were upset that Olivia won a grammy and said she wasnt country because she was not from this country.

  • Wonderful singer!! I adore and I only knew the version sung by Olivia but this one is great as well!! I'm a french fan of all these 2 country music singers. You can also have a look to my own interpretation of Let me be there Through pascalemercier and leave a comment. many thanks in advance

  • Olivia and Dolly are my two favorite singers. I've given Olivia a rose in Atlanta and met Dolly at BMI in Nashville. Wow! That means so much to me. Both are very special and are two of the greatest Singers/entertainers of all-time. Great song from two great people who still releasing great music today. No one should ever try to write-off these two, because the will be around today, tomorrow and forever. Why? Because they are genuine. What they sing comes straight from the heart.

  • Great post! Dolly and Olivia Newton-John (who had a hit with "Let Me Be There") are two of my faves...

  • Dolly and Anne Murray: two of the most successful performers of the '70s, both still making great music today (not that you'd know from listening to youth-obsessed mainstream radio though).

  • Thanks for posting. Do you have the rest of the Anne Murray segment?
