What an American thinks about Austria

I loved Austria. Really nice people. Not good English. Tons of amazing mountains and ski resorts on the west side. The east is flat. Vienna has tons of statues and old buildings and their palace terrain is huge!

earm..i'm pretty sure that austrian people can speak english as good as germans...(i know it because i am from austria)!

@h0ktar the biggest one was whitehall palace in london, it was reduced in a fire though and i think versaille is the biggest palace now. the largest building is the pentagon though. yeah austria should have focused more on english

I don't even remember saying anything about the history of austria. this video is just about my impression of the country. if you're talking about the holy roman empire dominating history, i don't think the holy roman empire was centered in vienna. wasn't that mainly germany?

@h0ktar ---- this is because until like 10 years ago we only had it in high school, not in elementary.

which is terrible considering how easy it is for a little kid to learn a language. and then of course in high school many don't care about it and just don't really learn it that well. that changed now. older generations though just don't care about it.

tha castle you saw was probably "Schoenbrunn" or the "Hofburg". the biggest one though is versailles in paris.

austria and the habsburgs were once the most powerful nation/empire in the world. i really don't get why americans usually have no clue about austria. it's not that i'm offended, well of course i am a little, but i mean austria dominated history for a few hundred years! and if not for that, "we" startet the only two worldwars, how can ppl. not know austria. about the english, yes unfortunately this is truethis is because until like 10 years ago-----
