  • I admire the hell out of you guys. I was at the concert and I nearly shat when you starting chanting.

    Actually, shat is an understatment.

  • I have to admit, I came on here expecting to hear someone totally destroy a Pat Metheny tune. Well, what can I say other than I'm totally blown away! Fantastically arranged and perfectly executed. Great musicians the lot of you. Love the Lyle solo especially.

  • How can I get this arrangement for my group?! Please let me know!

  • THE steve martin?

  • I am quite impressed. This is a wonderful arrangement and performance. You kept the energy of the original without sacrificing musicianship. Listening to this is exciting!

  • This is *amazing*. I love "Heat of the Day" and surfing around YouTube to find versions of it I was like - a steel drum band? WTF? But it's magnificent! The use of the tubular bells during that waltz part gave me goosebumps all over -- it is the PERFECT percussion instrument for that. Congrats also to the soloist, you were awesome.

  • You should hear this during a marching band show...

  • OMG!!! - To have the sheer gall n guts to take this on and then for them to actually pull it off!! Bravo!!! I take my hat off to them!! Loving this.

  • cool :)

  • Nice! It was abbreiviated but never the less...Im in awe. Excellent!

  • Oh im sorry, I thought this was just a regular post of the song. I'm on a opera mobil which for some reason, has no plug-in video so I have to look @ the vid on mobil YouTube than open this browser to comment. From the comments, i can see you guys recreated this song? I must see. how embarrasing. :) I'll definately check this out.

  • I've had this tune in my head now for the past couple of days. When that happens I tend to try in learn the chords on my piano. But as in the case of Pat's music, their are periods of intros and crechendos that keeps his arrangements unincumbered by any one structure. Its funny, I've had Imaginary day for over ten years but just recently, re-discovered this song in my adUlt life. This guy's a master and very inspiring. Thanks for the post!
