@Lavidicus6 Recently there was a reunion of the Goth/Industrial club The House of Usher in Oakland California. On one of the web pages there was a link to Amazon with a note saying Malign had some original pressings of the 1996 album Shatter and Impale. They may still have some left if you are lucky....I was. :-)

@Lavidicus6 The House of Usher is getting back together every year now from what I understand. There was a Facebook group for it. If you are on Deathguild's group you'll easily be in the loop.

Also, if you want a Malign album... do what everybody used to do for the past decade - head down to Rasputin Records on Telegraph Avenue and look in the used bin. You'll find them there for $1. LOL!

Used to live upstairs from Shawnie and X, on Scott and Hayes, in '94.

Every so often Malign would practice downstairs and shake the whole building. =]

this comp is great but Malign is SO amazing. Shatter & Impale is one of the best cd's ever made. I am happy I got their cd like 13 years ago and the comp too, I shall protect these with my life haha, thanks for sharing this, people should hear greatness like this!

@Gazerich I remember getting the album at the show and listening to it in its entirety when I arrived at home. I couldn't help but think how amazing the album was and that it was a breath of fresh air in light of all of the Sisters of Mercy-esque bands that were saturating the gothic rock scene in the mid-nineties.

@r00t3d0ut Yes! the songs on that album not only good in thier own right but the whole thing flowed so well it became greater then the sum of its parts.
