I've watched all your vids of this fire, more than once.

I don't see how you can state in the description of each one that 'you had no idea anyone got hurt' when victims were being wheeled about on gourneys all the while you recorded.

I understand however that no-one could have imagined the horror that was indside the front doorway and you could never have realised the scope of this tragedy at the time.

Not meaning to be a jerk and I did find your vids interesting.

i fixed the semantics you seemed to be concerned about. i used hurt because i felt that died, murdered, slaughtered were pretty strong words seeing how i lost some good friends in this fire. i was just trying to be respectful.

yes, i lost my first girlfriend and at least 4 other people i grew up with. i was not there for the concert, i was supposed to go but something else came up.i oun a video production co and i lived 5 min from there. i filmed it because i spent a lot of time there.

forgive me for not understanding what you really meant. I don't think died or perished would have been disrespectful terms.

I can imagine at the time you would hope that no one had perished and you could certainly never have imagined how horrible the toll really was.

This was staggering news far from there. I can't imagine how terrible it was in your town and to have lost friends is even more unimagineable. I meant no disrespect. I just wondered if you really didn't realise people were hurt.

@merriman555 What can they do?  Have you ever fought a fire????? Do you not have a clue that they couldn't go any further? What is wrong with you and where is your common sense? You should be ashamed of yourself. You have no idea what fighting a fire is like. And you certainly do not have a clue as to why they could not get past the front door. Keep your mouth shut until you educate yourself on the matter.

Plus how many of those people were drunk by the time the headlining band started? It's just sad and awful, and extremely unfortunate. The circumstances aligned in the worst possible way.

These videos have got us talking around here about what we would do in that situation. Probably a conversation most of the people who were in the fire never had, which is why they didn't think to pour their drink on their shirt and use it to cover their nose and mouth while crawling to an alternate exit. An experiment showed that visibility would have been down to zero by 1 min 12 seconds after the fire started. Carbon monoxide would've been the hardest thing to escape in there.

@merriman555 There seems to be an awful lot of critics shooting their mouths off about this video. Youtube has millions more videos, so if you don't like one, you can always watch another one. I can't believe how disrespectful a lot of you people are. You weren't there and you will never know what and why things were the way they were. I commend the person that documented this tragedy.

Watching the FD working on the scene here is pretty disappointing. You have dozens of guys working around a very unsafe structure with master stream operations ongoing. I understand that early on it was known that there were many, many victims but recovery operations should have waited a bit longer. Its not worth risking your career or life to remove dead bodies. Sorry to sound so indifferent because I'm not, but use common sense guys.
