That´s why MMA has rules, to avoid permanent injuries or death, Karate or Kung Fu and some others martial arts can´t be used in full potential because a big part of the movements is deadly. You can see what i´m talking agout in the end of this video:

@mirageF1AZ no no you misunderstood, i love karate, it just sucks in MMA, and if you read my whole comment i also admitted that Machida is the only one who knows how to use it in MMA, i have nothing against karate, its just not good in MMA

@bamaboi1994 I strongly disagree with you, but I dont disrespect ur opinion.I just feel karate is verry effective because I trained in shotokan karate since 1996 and I witnessed first hand what it is capable of. People just hate karate because they dont understand it and because it takes long and verry verry hard work to achieve black belt status.and if karate sucks when it comes to MMA why is machida so deadly?I mean its no secret that he says he owes his sucsess in mma to his karate training

@mirageF1AZ karate still sucks when it comes to MMA. Machida is the only one that knows how to use it

i'm from the Philippines and i guess i'm the biggest fan of lyoto machida here. he's truly amazing.Just wanna wish him luck with his upcoming fight with shogun on october 24.
