Actually half a step tuning is Sabbath, because Iommi accidentally cut off the finger tips on his fretting hand, and had to soften the impact of the strings by downtuning them, therefore in the process giving Sabbath their unique sound. If you want to learn more you should read 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' by Joel McIver.
