Edge vignetting has become incredibly popular. When done the right way (meaning not overdone), they really do make a photo look better. However, there are a few ways to create these edge vignettes, some of which work better then others.

Top notch great help. It's amazing how many people making tutorials for PS try to achieve this effect in a myriad of ways that are nowhere near as elegant and effective as this.
