I live in Halifax,Nova Scotia,Canada and used to watch this in the 1980s on CBC. Myself and my two brothers used to love this show(our three sisters missed out big time). Hilarious. Wonderful chemistry between the two. My mom said that Arthur reminded her of someone from her old neighborhood,not necessary on the level but loveable and,under it all,well meaning. I was surprised to learn the show lasted as long as it did. It vanished from our CBC affiliate around 1984 or 1985. Great memories.

The Shane Ritchie nonsence was an embarrassment to the original series. Utterley shambolic and completely forgettable.

arthur daley is my hero...he's so old skool british,his patter,style,deals,drive,ambit­ion etc...he's the man...and the jaguar too,so cool...george cole was born to play that part,nobody else could have done better...it's a bit like only fools and horse but i prefer arthur to dell...anyone know what came first...minder or only fools and horses?
