Karajan and Weissenberg I really believe this is one of the best performances ever - when you get the two together,,both of them show their compassion as well as you can hear it and feel it.

I saw him perform many times and always loved his Rachmaninoff.

Performance for the ages, no argument about that. Sonically I prefer the studio recording Karajan and Weissenberg did together in 1972, but artistically this recording is every bit as fine. And the visual side adds tremendously to the experience. Thanks a lot for posting. Highly appreciated.
