The ink in the refill kit has nothing to do with circuitry of the cartridge. Printer doesn't recognize the ink cartridge because can't contact properly with the cartridge. These cartridges are originally designed for one use only. Every time you remove the cartridge and put it back the contacts in your printer scratch the contact points on your cartridge. If scratches are to deep printer will not recognize the cartridge
