There is no mention of limitation, but clearly one cannot walk down the streets with a bazooka or flame thrower or tank.

i dont think you've ever read the whole new testament. they separated church from state to prevent the government from proclaiming themselves as god (as kings and pharaohs have done) nor to proclaim themselves as messengers of god in order to create tyrannical laws. and when it comes down to it, the chinese can overrun all our bases stationed around their borders with their billion man army, they did it in korea. your going to need a gun in every hand, its what keeps us safe.

u must be an idiot to misinterpret ur own language, its called comprehensible thinking. human beings aren't limited computers programmed to know only one definition. according to ur logic firearms must mean someone's arm is on fire. or could it mean damn good looking arms? or maybe flames tattooed on someone's arm and called it firearms. apparently the founding fathers had a much higher IQ than your average modern day american. The Right Of The People To Keep and Bear Arms Shall Not Be Infronged

the purpose of the second ammendment is the right for the people to bear arms. bear arms where used as back scratchers back in the day and people were very itchy. with all the lice and poor sanitation, skin problems where prevalent everywear. it was soon discovered that bear arms were very good at soothing that itch. unfortunately many bears were hunted down and left without their front arms. bears had to scootch around on their bellys, pushing with their hind legs.

The founding fathers fought for the freedom of religious persecution, so they believed in the separation of church and state. Nowere on the constitution of the USA is stated that "self-defense" is a god given right. Assuming that their god is yaweh, they would be better believing in turning the other cheek.
