Every country, including my own, has had events in the past, which they are not so proud of, and I think it is very dangerous to try a pretend that they never happened.

I was talking about the 1989 protest in Tiananmen Square, where anywhere from 186-7000 people were killed when the army came in, with tanks to stop the protest.
(I've found references from Time, BBC, Reuters, Red Cross and Amnesty International - so I take this to be the truth. Try looking it up for yourself, if you're not in China, where it will be censored)
There is quite a famous photo of the unknown rebel, stopping 4 tanks - are you familiar with this?
