  • The following is in reverse order...

  • To use this relay with a light... run a wire from one of your six unused fuses to one of the switch terminals on the relay (relay terminal 30) attach the red (+) wire of your light to other terminal (relay terminal 87a). Now attach the black (-) wire from your light to ground (frame).

You can add more lights using additional relays and your unused fuses for each lighting set-up.

  • The terminal on the switches diagonal from the center terminal must be wired to ground (the frame of the car) This can be done with one wire going to every switch then to the frame.

now run one wire from each switch back into the engine compartment. Each of these wires is now ready to feed it's own relay.

Each wire will feed the coil of a relay (relay terminal 85) while the other side of the relay coil (relay terminal 86) is wired to ground (frame).

Your switch can now run this relay.

  • A fuse block is not commonly needed because most lights you buy would come with the fuses in line.

To use the fuse block you have currently I would mount the fuse block under the hood, Run a 10 guage wire from the + battery terminal to one side of ALL of the fuses. Run a wire from the other side of one of the fuses (3 amp value) through your dash and attach it to the center terminal on ALL 4 or 5 of your daystar switches.

  • Got my KC lights today, and also bought a 7 circuit fuse block. Dont know if I need the fuse block or went over board. Got my Daystar rocker switches. My question is how can I wire the relay to the fuseblock and then to the rockers? Could I use a Fuse tap to go from the relay??

    Thanks and the JK rocks!!

  • @dewoofer71 I'll message you directly.

  • thanks for the reply i will check it out!

  • @Yenkul01 If you are hooking up only one set of lights you will only be using 4 wires, a switch, two fuses, and a relay. All the wires shown under the hood here power other sets of lights too. It is likely that your lights came with the wiring you will need. I'm not sure what wires in the back seat you are referring to.

  • Is all of those wires in the back seat needed? i just got a jeep and i want to install these lights on it. i just wondered if all that mess was needed. Thanks

  • @pumamattias Thanks, you too! Have you seen our new one? Our new "Stock to Rock" series stars a black two-door JK. Check it out and enjoy.
