What gets me up out of bed every morning and gets me here that early and keeps me here late at night is how we can make Ohio State better. And I say Ohio State, because I really believe in the presidents vision that were one university, that what we do at the Medical Center, what we do in the health system, what we do in the medical school can really impact the university as a whole and thats what gets me so excited.

Most of our patients have chronic illnesses they live with day to day, I know that, I have diabetes, I live with that day to day, and I know what a difference that supportive educational environment can make.

Were a hell of a lot better than we tell you, and a hell of a lot better than you know. And thats one of our problems. We do not boast enough about how good we are.
