How remove paint from a metal airsoft gun

Instructions and a walk through of how to remove paint and shine up a metal airsoft gun. There is a step to wash it off with soap and water before sanding I forgot to mention. You will need heavy duty paint remover, nitrile gloves, any paint brush, steel wool, a metal pan or surface that is not plastic and some 600-2000 grit sandpaper. everything can be purchased at a hardware store or some painting stores.

Oh, an will paint stripper work aswell? its like the only think i can get my hands on

@Netrom37 I'm not sure, Circa 1850 is the only thing I tried and it's pretty powerful stuff so paint stripper might work but the paint might not come off so easily.

You will need to oil it after doing this, no? Otherwise it would rust, no?

What oil should one use this?

Thank you so much I was gonna sand with sand paper and a drill that has a light wire bit to get the paint off and make it silver but this is exactly what I wanted this was SO helpful thank you A LOT. I'm making the slide on my walther CP99 chroooome :)

@heuykiller Look at my custom Colt 1911 video and see what it looks like atm. Also look at the airsoft collection vid. I have owned a few WE 1911s. Let me know which one you like the look of. They all got done in different ways.
