  • this is pretty damn good man. with some singing this would be really good

  • thanks JimitriG! i definitely want to learn how to sing. Can you sing?

  • I think this is the one of the hardest RJ songs to get right, you do it really well!

  • hi parapedal! thanks a lot! hopefully with more practice i can get this closer to the original - there a plenty of licks to learn, and most importantly i'd really like to learn to sing! pity I didn;t grow up around the gospel church!

  • Not bad altho you do not present different musical

element clearly enough so there is logical connection

between them - if you do not know original then it

looks like one descending lick that you learned well

and some random fragments that you did not present

clearly enough. There is no balance. You may want to

slow down so that music talks in full sentences.

  • thanks for your comments woland99. I hear what you're saying! but i am quite familiar with the song in my head, but putting those sounds out to guitar is quite hard - but yes the attempt at Preaching blues could do more merit to the original. Some singing would help! As for slowing it down, maybe, but the original is really quite fast. Cheers!

  • great work!!!

  • It sounds like Bob Log playing a steel body - that's a good thing tho

  • Very nice cover. And the sound is just right and very well balanced between treble, middle and bass. You can often hear resonator guitar that sound too agressive or too trebly, here is perfect, thanks to your touch I believe also.

  • I dig how you copy Johnson's style down to the T. The resonator adds a lot. I applaud you sir.

  • @ericcrook16 I hope that was a sarcastic comment. This is one of the best RJ replications I've ever heard. That's a hard thing to do considering the low quality of his recordings. This is a DAMN FINE JOB!

  • This sounds real good, bro. You've got it down. I'd sing it for ya if you lived in Jackson, MS!

  • that was crap. no offence

  • buy the hal leonard tab book, theyve mapped out all the notes and intricasies that make this song sound so good
