I'm quite new to Hole. I overlooked them in the 90's but recently have been listening to em loads and can't get enough. Such an underrated band and they're my fav grunge band for sure.

I dont think punk happened till this record came out. emphasis on 'I' . l used to go in a record shop and ask the guy to save me all the 7 inch singles coming out of the US that had this pre grunge punk attitude, you know before Eddie Vedder decided to become REM. This album preceded Nirvana . I never related to the first wave of British Punk or its American counterpart. Courtney's decent into Hollywood cliché is forgiveable ONLY because of this. Thats MY personal feeling about this album.
