making isotopes isnt fusion, fusion is a transmutation reaction. u can create isotopes easily with the junk in an old printer or a fire alarm.

Very cute.
Let me tell you that a nuclear reactor contains much more than that, it needs uranium fuel rods, and it needs boron control rods. It also needs a much more broad control panel.

Except that it's not performing nuclear fission, but nuclear fusion.

And no, it's not producing net power, just a small amount of deuterium-deuterium fusion, which is realtively easy, and not too dangerous from a radiation point of view.

Google 'farnsworth fusor', and you'll see that this device has been doing basic tabletop fusion for several decades. No net power, but so what?

fusion reactors that small produce very little compared to fission reactors (the ones used as power plants)
