The EASIEST and SURE FIRE way to get the blue marker off is actually to use ICE COLD water. I put some ice cubes with my cup of water and wait until it is really cold. Comes out and never comes back. No soaking.

I have found if I really soak the quilt, the blue marker washes through the fabric and down into the batting. It shows up later as it dries. So I would advise to really wring out the sponge. That way all the marker comes up on the sponge, and not down inside the quilt layers.

ignore the "2 minutes to dry" comment. It is more like 10 minutes. I just have a bad habit of saying 2 minutes to everything!
