BMW M6 vs. Porsche 911 Turbo from standing start

BMW M6 uses Launch Control. Revs wihout a gear up tp around 4000 rpm then when I release the shift the car launches and ... all » shifts automatically all the way up to the limit. Gas pedal is depressed all the way. Continental tyres, worn tyres and cold ground (below 8 degrees) did make the 1st gear spin until second gear. We race a standard Porsche 911 Turbo (996). the 911 turbo is simply a legend and is always better than any bmw. you own a porsche for passion before that for the power

The M6 is a quick car!

Put a 21st-Century, 5.0L, 507bhp v10 BMW against a 20th-Century, 3.6L, 420bhp, flat6 Porsche (996) 911 turbo and the BMW triumphs...

But put a 21st-Century, 3.6L, 480bhp, flat6 Porsche (997) 911 turbo against the M6 and "normal service is resumed..."

And if you want to witness an absolute kicking, put the 523bhp 997 GT2 against BMW's M6 and see what happens...

I think this is a fair race! M6 does have 80 hp more but it its also a havier car .. Love both cars anyways! That v10 Engine actually came out in 2004 in Europe with the 2004 M5! So its a fair race 997 Turbo came out in 2007 so its a 3 year newer Technology.

@zuksh ur right i completely got the 911 confused with the 997, the Z-06 and the 997 killed the M6 by bus lengths, but my comment on the 997/Z06 race is a good one, i want to see it

this must be a base model 911, ive never seen a M6 beat a 911 turbo, if thats the case the Z-06 jus murdered the M6 by bus lengths and was still pulling,maybe driver error ( why dont u guys have a race b/t the Z-06 and the 911) according to the race b/t the 2 and the M, it would be a good race, (not this race) the other one

@gabryp89 No.. actually porsches are not for passion LOL, german cars are all about perfection they do not have passion.. ask anyone, cars with passion are British and Italian cars, they have soul in them. Im not saying porsches are bad.. i love them to death but they are not passion cars
