  • @xXxsaeedaxXx its something global. In Brazil, darker models are sidelined. In Indonesia, fair actors with Dutch mix are favored. There's another reason too in India. The upper class like Brahmins and the Royal family have been doing indoor works for ages, so its logical for them to be fairer. And discrimination starts there too. When 2 things look different, comparison always starts.

  • @harish2309 ... the 1st group of humans are from Africa, who then travelled to India and the rest of the world. Why are there Whites, Asians (Yellow) and Indians (Brown) then? Also note that the lower caste people's color is NOT the actual Indian color because they're tanned for generations. I think now that India is developing and modernizing fast, Indians, mainly urban Indians will definitely look fairer than normal because 1) they'll be indoors all the time 2) they use fairness creams.

  • @harish2309 it doesn't happen overnight my friend. My great great grandparents were quite dark, my great grandparents fairer, same pattern with my grandparents, parents and now us. And yes its a few shades but enough to look different from the natural Southern color. I think I'm medium, exactly like that dude on the left thumbnail with the video titled 'Fair Menz'. Besides why you think there are people of different colors in the 1st place?....

  • @giriisindahouse The reason why the upper castes are fair is because of Indo-European admix. Also please note that there are very dark Upper castes as well.

  • @giriisindahouse Well staying inside the house can only make you a few shades fairer, obviously. Nothing can make a dark person(say Muralitharan) considerably light or a light person(Aamir khan) considerably dark.

  • @harish2309 allrite I'll give you a good example. My ancestors are from Southern India, dark. My family and I are now in Malaysia where the temperature is almost the same but we are indoors with air conditioners all the time. And its not just us but most of the Indians over here have distinctively fairer skin than our ancestors who have exactly the same color as today's Southern Indians. All those fairer skinned Indians are definitely from upper class who don't get tanned under Sun.

  • @giriisindahouse I love how people say indoor work makes you fairer.. How can people ever be so dumb? Skin color changes a few shades in your lifetime, given that you don't bleach your skin. There is nothing logical in your post

  • @sundave912 so sad. i can definately relate to what the indian ppl must feel. ive seen it so often with my own ppl esp in the past....back in the day if you were lighter (black american) you would often be pressured not to marry any black person that is darker than you so you can keep the lightness going in your fam. it also had to do w/ the fact that lighter skin blacks had more opportunity in the community (usually). the whole thing makes me ill

  • @sonofthedestroyer, it is not necessarily racist on their part. Maybe they just prefer a lighter look.

  • Wanting to be fair is soo deep rooted in Indian psychology simply bcoz it was a British colony for sooo damn long! (1858 to 1947!!) But bcoz the British were colonizers n not conquerers... instd of creating a rebellion against the white skin, somehow the perception of white skin became a desire as opposed to being despised.

Its important to know why things are the way they are.. n then try help others in a sensible manner. what good cud come from calling this psyche pathetic or disgusting?!
