Tabla Programme, Costs, and Future Dreams

Sri Sarthak Kumar is a tabla master in Gurgaon, a Delhi suburb. He held a concert of his students in May 2010, and I was there. During the introduction of his recital, he mentioned that he had a dream to teach kids from the slum how to play tabla, so they could get out of the slums and help themselves and their families. And now, in December, 2010, he is doing just that. In this interview with Sarthak he discusses the tabla programme and the costs to run it, the children, and his future dreams for other arts classes.
