The system is rotten the core. These are not whining people. They are telling it like it is. They are very BRAVE in their struggle in the face of injustice, as sadly, are so many.

The injustice of it all is that people are robbed of their earning to prop up the banks losses with NAMA and then the banks come after their homes when the people can no longer meet their mortgage payment. This is supported by OUR government. The banks should have been allowed to go to the wall, if we are living in a true capitalist society.? The banks gambled with our money and LOST. If I gamble with my money I take my losses... WHY not the banks.

If you take out a loan, you should be completely sure your earning enough to pay it back even if your spouse/ partner loses a job especially if the loan is large as in this case. the bank should never have given it in the first place, but this couple should have known better and will now have to face the facts of their stupidity.
