Friday The 13th Part 1-4 Deluxe Edition DVD Review

I love these movies some much I decided to do a review for parts 1-4,later i'll do parts 5-8.I love friday the 13th so much,I have the entire series on VHS,3 times on DVD.

3 and 4 had alternate ending but they are on the special features of the deluxe editions.

Yeah,your right! But I dont care! I' huge fan of this horror series and I dont care how many times they bring out a new edition DVD or set,I will still buy them.......Oh,by the way people,there is rumor going around that Paramount is going to release a Friday Blu-ray box set of all of the first 8 movies and its suppose to be out in NOV.

well,good question! The extras on the box set are awesome but I like the fact that they did the "Lost Tales from Crystal Lake" on the new ones,they need to bring out a friday the 13th blu-ray box set unrated,they would be great.But to answer your question just buy both like i did.

I'm upset that they didn't include the commentary track for part 3, its like you have to keep both sets just to have everything

@joegood21 wait alternate ending? is that a special feature or in the actual mocvie caus ei just bought the dulxe version and ill be mad if its the only ending...

I dont see a big difference with the deluxe editions and original friday the 13th dvds. Some extras but whats the big deal about that. One interesting thing about it is that part 3 is the 3d edition but even though 1999 release dvds are older they are still not worth much.

hey joe nice reviews but i do have a question. Would you say if you can get it it's better to get the friday the 13th box set they put out i think in 2004 or 05 if/when it comes to wanting more extras on the dvd? i heard the extras on these red cover dvd's are not as good as the box set they extras put out.

I've got a soft spot for Friday the 13th series,4 was my fave due to the amazing Tom Savini effects.

The qualitly really dips in 5 and up.The series gets real stale after that.
