  • what about the s3 pro?

  • @niftyfiftyphoto its an older version

  • Hey Dom, how does the s5pro handle low-light situations? Think of concerts, live shows, stuff like that...and I don't want to use any flash.

  • @TheSerb134 not that great really. certainly not compared to modern cameras now.

  • Hi Dom. Does the 14-bit mode on the D300 improve the dynamic range at all?

  • @oddsocksedge did a video on that on the new channel dombowerphoto but didnt find any difference, at leaset not what i could see with my eye

  • C A N O N O N L Y :)

  • 1:19 what the hell man?

  • @BrooksinSwansea I think it goes for more than 250 pounds on ebay by now (a year later).

I just bought an S3. I'm still trying to find the optimal settings to get interesting JPGs directly out of the camera, trying to find software to edit the RAW files. Any suggestions? (Mac/Windows)

I wish Fuji would bring superccd back to the DSLR market, but I guess in the top segment it's like Formula 1. You have money to invest or you lose the game :(

  • @MrJamieDenton for portraits, I can recommend it most definitely. For outdoors, it very much depends on a number of factors, the camera is not good for sports, as dom said, its FPS is basically crap, but it does capture beautiful colours (especially in 'velvia" simulation mode) which do make landscapes and outdoor shots "pop" that little bit more. They are hard to come by now though because fuji appears to have gone from the DSLR market, so those with S5s are hanging onto them!

  • Been using the S5 for a few years now and It really is a great studio camera as Dom said. I do use it for panoramics and, although the detail is a little less than the modern nikons, it still produces some pretty good outdoor pictures nonetheless! Just sorry that Fuji appears to be out of the dslr market, they really do know how to produce good colours and I think its fair to say that for studio work and people shots, the S5 is still hard to beat, even a few years on from its release.

  • I found this video very useful. I'm wanting to more onto a more professional camera since I started a university last September. Would you recommend the S5 Pro for me? I do mainly street and portraits. Cheers
