42 million Americans now live on food stamps: that is roughly the entire population of Spain. During the financial crisis, the US government bailed out the failing, incompetent banks, but left American home-owners out in the cold (literally). @Magnum3579 They would not need food stamp cards if they had cash. it is much hard to get cash benefits than it is to just get food stamps which you have to use with the card.
