We used 400 or 600 pound sufix leader line in this show.

Cap'N Ben i do alot of surf fishing on the Oregon Coast what rod do you think will best suit this, im currently using 9 and 10 ft uglysticks and daiwa GS-6's, GS-9's and Black Gold BG60 spinning reels

Capt ben im using a ugly stik tiger lite rod which test line is 30-60lb line pountage will i be able to use that and land a fish like that?

Nope, we used 400 to 600 mainline and leader. You will just lose a bunch of fish with that small of line.

If the angler lets nearly any rod touch the gunnel it will break under that type of pressure.
