Bentota Beach is the prime beach resort of Sri Lanka. Bentota beach, Bentota lagoon and Benotota river provide opportunities for all sorts of watersports.
To the north of Bentota is Bentota estuary called Paradise island, a narrow strip of land sandwiched between the Indian ocean from the west and Bentara river from the east
