There's (there was...) another excellent Russian violinist called Andrei Korsakov (died in the early '90s). Similarly half-forgotten, not so well-known like Kagan. No, Kagan is well-known if we compair him with Korsakov. I have only a CD with him playing Ernst, Carmen fantasy (the Waxman-transcription) incredible violinist (excellent technique, exact articulation, intonation, musicality). Does anyone have video of Andrei

His body position is so perfect than his arms look restless...that's the great thing of russian violin technique.
