Rummy & Wolfowitz said before the War all fighting would likely be over in <6 months! The question is NOT should we continue to be Iraq. But, WHY? What can we hope to achieve? What's that goal worth in terms of dollars & sacrifice of men & military resources? IMHO our troops could be much better used elsewhere! The "WAR" ended with removal of Saddam over 3yrs ago! Continued OCCUPATION gains US nothing - only spoils US reputation & fuels MORE violence!

Excellent - Glad you are back and safe - As Americans we must stand strong for our country and those willing to fight for freedom. For those that prefer otherwise liberala and anyone else taking shots at our country, I thnk Chavez just got the OK to be a full dictator today and now everyone has a place to go live if they don't like America. A one way ticket for them would be great.

Bush was warned by Gen. Shinseki before the war that it would take "several hundred thousand troops to successfully occupy Iraq." Bush ignored him; tried to do it on the cheap. How can 150K troops occupy 30 million people & stop centuries of ethnic & religious violence? Ending the occupation is correcting an error. Staying longer compounds the error! Shouldn't have been put there in the first place! But, it's not worth US money nor lives! It's NOT our fight!

Colin Powell WARNED Bush in 2002 that if he invaded Iraq the POTTERY BARN RULE would apply - i.e. you broke it, you bought. Bush chose to go ahead anyway. Now 3000 dead Americans & $500 Billion later, now you want to blame Democrats for dishonoring the sacrifice of those who have died by ending the occupation? How about blaming the one who chose to send them there for a badly thought-out & poorly planned mission? Bush dishonored the troops by sacrificing them for a fools' mission!
