From what I understand, they never say exactly that member of JW are not allowed to go to college or universities, but he said advisable. They talk about that, but no one I know in JW organization is disfellowship because they chose to go to college and university. My relatives are JW and they are all professionals! Those can do must do, but those who can't have choices, I know this because I have JW friends and they are lovely people. They don't steal, drunk and don't do drugs! Is that bad?

Truth is, it's easier for any religion or politics to control, manipulate or whatever you call it. But being intelligent and having knowledge helps you understand more things connected to bible studies.
