Nick's POV
I decided to surprise Miley by visiting her house. I hadn't been here in ages and I had a nervous feeling. I had bought some flowers on the way over. Nothing special but still a nice gesture. I knocked on the door and was greeted by her mom.
"NICK! I haven't seen you in ages." "Yeah! It's been too long."
I walked into the house and looked around before asking where Miley was. Her mom said she was in her room and told me to go on up. She trusted me. I padded up the cream carpeted stairs and stopped outside her door. Her name was fixed on the white wood in curly pink script. I knocked 3 times and stood patiently.
"Come in!" I heard her husky voice yell.
She obviously had no idea who was here but I walked in anyways.
"Hi Miley." I said to her my voice cracking.
She spun around in her computer chair with her mouth open. I suppose I was the last person she wanted to see after what I did to her.
"Nick. What are you doing here?" she asked me. "I think we need to talk."
I just stood there stunned. I held out the flowers and she took them from me with a smile and dissappeared into her bathroom to collect a vase and water. I took a seat on her double bed remembering the memories I had from this room. The purple rug which cleverly hid a stain from a spillage of diet coke. Her wooden oak wardrobe which had our names carved inside a heart in the back left. Even her bed had fond memories from when I would lay with her head on my chest and serenade her with love songs. Miley walked back into the room and took a seat on her bed.
"Thanks for the flowers. They're beautiful." "Just like you." I gushed.
I was turning into Joe. I would probabley say some cheesy chat up line next like 'I've got my library card and I'm checking you out.'
"Nick, why did you come here?" she asked me in a serious tone. "Last night when I saw you on the promanade with Tyler...it made me feel....jealous." I finally confessed to her. "Jealous?" "Yeah. Riley helped me realise that I still like you."
We sat in silence for a while staring at her wall. My eyes drifted to her nightstand were I noticed a framed picture of the two of us. I remembered this night too well. It was her 15th birthday back in November. That was the night everything changed. I wonder why she still had a photo of us together.
"What do you expect me to say Nick?" she asked. "I wondered if you'd give me a much needed second chance. I'm really sorry for everything that happened. But I'd like to try again. I miss you."
I took her hand and held it staring into her ice blue eyes.
"I miss you too." she smiled.
I leant in a kissed her cheak and I spent the rest of the day hanging out at her house making more memories.
Hayley's POV
I had changed into my pj's as it was about 8 and I was worn out from the dancing. I collected a tub of rocky road ice cream and plopped down infront of the tv and began watching Veronica Mars. It was one of my favourite tv shows and I especially liked trying to figure out the mystery before it was revealed. Riley was upstairs listening to some therapudic music. The whole Nick thing had her torn up and nothing I could do would cheer her up. I was half way through the show - and half way through the ice cream - when the door bell rang. I tried ignoring it but mom had gone out and I doubt Riley would rise from her coffin. I walked away from the tv still eating the ice cream and answered the door.
"Hey!"
I looked up recognising the voice instantly.
"Kevin! I mean hi." I laughed. "I thought I'd stop by and see if you wanted to hang out." "Yeah sure, come in."
He walked into the kitchen and grabbed himself a spoon and started eating my ice cream.
"Mmm, Rocky Road. My fave." "Mine too. That's why I was kind of eating it." I said taking a spoonful of ice cream and shoving it into my mouth.
We continued to sit eating the ice cream but instead decided to watch a movie. I searched through the dvd collection before deciding on the horror movie, Saw. I had never had the guts to watch it before but with Kevin here I felt safe.
"Do you like scary movies?" I asked him, sounding strangley like a character from Scream. "Yeah. They rock." He said excitedly. "Great!" I added sarcasticly.
Song: Miley Cyrus - I Miss You.
What's gunna happen next, hmm? Will the movie go as planned or will something happen? The only way too find out is to read my next chapter!
