Saddam Hussein was a big dumbass. He thought that he was given a signal to invade after US ambassor said she has no opinion on the Kuwait border. He should have not invaded Kuwait in the 1st place. He's the one that cause all of this happen. More Kuwaiti citizens died by the hands of Iraqi Army than this incident during the seven month Iraqi occupation of Kuwait. 100,000 Kurds were also murdered and gassed by Saddam Hussein in 1988 as well.

@OliverEnigmatic And Iraq need to stay away from Kuwait. This would have not happened had Saddam not invaded Kuwait. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait is our ally and they ASKED for our help. We cannot tell them to f**k themeselves and fend for themselves. SA doesn't have a strong military. That is how civilian casualties it has been for thousands of years, the same thing happened in WWII. But Saddam are known for sheltering civilians so they could blame on the US.

Although a tragedy, the Amiriyah shelter was a Warsaw-pattern military bunker, the Americans didn't know it was being used as a civilian shelter.

I 100% agree, and i PLEDGE TO RESIST. Americans are so fuckin brainwashed and ignorant, it makes me feel sick to live in the country that borders them (canada). People need to wake up, and smell the freedom (with no america)

It is funny about USA they talk about Hitler all time and 6 millions JEWS when you do same thing as Hitler.
It is OK to kill 800.000- 1 million in Irak.
And Vietnam war 5,5 million and other war that sugar country number one have had.
Well, that was biased.
So, those were kids in the bunker, huh? Why?

Ed, you ask, why were there kids in the bomb shelter? That's a very silly question. Hadn't you heard? There was a war going on... Bomb shelters are a place for civlians to hide from a war. We had one in our shcool when i was growing up in the USA.
All the men were either watching the home or fighting the war.
The only thing biased is the US news coverage of the event at the time, which focused on the technology of the bombs used.

A more interesting question would be...
Why did the USA decide to attack a bomb shelter?

Get your facts straight. It was not a Phosphorus bomb. They were standard 2000lb GBUs. And perhaps if Saddam didn't want his people do die, he should not have invaded and occupied his neighbor. It's war, people die. It's sad, but it's a fact. Was it unfortunate? YES. Was it preventable? Perhaps. But it was WAR. A war that IRAQ started because it wanted oil money. Started by a crazed psychopath of a dictator. Blame Saddam, he was the one that caused American bombs to rain down on Baghdad.

1) it takes two crazed psychopaths to have a war
2) anyone who intentionally targets a bomb shelter is a special category of crazed... regardless of the type of bomb used.
3) seeing the damage firsthand, it seems unlikely that it was two identical bombs of any type.
