Actually it never says that its solely Aikido vs MMA....of course he has done Judo, and if it works to beat your opponent why shouldn't he use it? and also these guys did it for charity, so all you guys who are slagging it off should be ashamed of yourselves.

Judo is an alive art, that's why we only saw judo against an alive (and poorly trained) student.

That's funny because he wasn't "retreating" during the entire match. In fact, he was bobbing and moving around just like someone does in a real fight. The shortcoming is all aikido; it does not work. The evidence is clear; the moment a fight (albeit not a serious fight) started, you had to rely upon skills other than aikido.

Ok so basically, what we've learned from this is that the "aikido" instructor was unable to accomplish a single aikido technique and had to rely exclusively on his judo skills. Very telling.

Yes your basically correct I couldn't effect an Aikido technique on a retreating opponent, not sure whether that's a short coming in Aikido or in me. I do know it works against someone who is actually attacking and whose sole intent is to get you, not backing away. It is much easier for me to take the fight to some one using judo than Aikido so that's what happened. Also it was for charity, and a bit of a laugh so I did not want to hit him as I would if I didn't know or like him.

Actually fuz2 that particular move is really really painful, the bodies response to that pain is similar to a heart attack. The body thinks your dieing! rubbing is not what I'm doing. get some one to do it to you to see.
