@HorokeuUsuiFan But there's no reason to dislike the Japanese. All you need is love!

@HorokeuUsuiFan I had some frustrated feelings towards the Japanese when I heard about the Ainu. But many Japanese have Ainu ancestry as well as Mainland Asian. It is sad what happened though...Hopefully we could keep the Ainu ways alive. Most Japanese have never heard this story...but it happens everywhere, it happened to the Khoisans being overrun by the Bantu, it happened to the Native Americans. It's the oldest story in history. The warriors take and the peaceful get taken.

@michirustar84 Actually, they were not accepted as an indigenous group of Japan until 2008, a full year after Japan and the United Nations passed to recognize all indigenous groups. Seemingly this was only because the G8 conference of 2008 was being held in Hokkaido, Japan, and the Japanese government didn't want to look bad in front of other nations. I learned this in class this year :)

Sounds like boners......
The Ainu were not culturally accepted in Japan until recently (maybe 10 years ago) and had to intermingle in order to survive. A so-called "full blooded" (I really hate that term) young Ainu woman is not very common. It doesn't detract from the fact that she is interested in her culture and willing to share it with many foreigners!
