The Neverwas Haul steam car. Built in 2006 by the crew of Neverwas Haul.
Double acting slide valve steam engine, powered by a Lamont style boiler made from a steam cleaner,running at about 100psi. Boiler is propane fired.

I like the whistle, but it looks a little unsafe. Think, if a Ford F-350 t-boned you in that, they would have to use a sponge and a bucket to get you to the funeral.

I have looked into it, technically it is a motorcycle, so you would have to register it as one. the other route would be to convince the DMV that it is a "Historic Vehicle" this might be easier, as it is simpler to do and this would allow you to drive in "Parades and rallys". We have driven it around Berkeley late at night, the cops ignore us.
