I've been there and it's not Collinwood. There's only one Collinwood and it's in Newport Rhode Island.

The 'real' dark shadow title belongs to The Carey Mansion, in Newport R.I. which is on a high cliff over the Atlantic Ocean. It is on Ruggles Avenue. The Newport house is arranged like a long letter "L" -- very long but rather narrow in proportion. I was not allowed to view the interior of the Newport house, but it is a much more exciting exterior than Beverly Hills.
