Ok - I'm totally ignorant - is the actress in this video currently starring in a Showtime series? I love Dr. Who but quit watching in the 80s. What happened to the lovely actress? Did she die in the show? Please excuse my inane questions but this wonderful video has gotten me all curious......

This may be a little long winded for an answer but here it goes... When Doctor Who returned (the 9th doctor, the one with buzzed hair) he was very dark and broody... Then he met the Blonde named Rose... She brought him around and he sacrifised his 9th life for her... Then Doctor 10 (the one in the beginning quote) continued with her... She fell for him, and told him so, but only after they had been seperated by parallel worlds... at the end of the second season.

He pined for her during the 3rd season missing her... but they had a reunion during the 4th where he got to give her a special gift only to leave for the last time... I recommend getting the episodes (3rd season being my least favorite) and watching this wonderful story

Thanks for taking the time to answer. So what season are they on now? Are they separated permanently? I'm confused on the the life sacrificing. How many lives does Dr. Who have? So did Rose have a relationship with both Dr. Whos #9 and 10? Any idea on the Showtime series? I've seen her before (I'm in America - not sure where you're writing from, England? This series is created in the UK right?)

Nope I'm from US but my husband is a scifi geek and got me stuck on the show... Dr. Who has (pretty sure 13 lives) (unsure about that because his planet is destroyed now) the first season was the short haired doctor, 2nd was the long haired doc with the blonde. 3rd was again long haired but he had a black assistant, and the 4th was him and a red head. they then had a christmas episode and another episode for easter.... I believe the 10th doc has one more movie before the new doc takes over
