@cheloo F1 V8s make about 850BHP but only have ~150lb-ft of torque...HP = torque * RPM. You can't make Power without torque.

You lost the idea.
A diesel engine will always develop more torque than power. This thing means that a diesel engine is made for torque.

power(BHP) is just torque times RPM, so to have torque is also to have power. cant have one without the other

so you can have 10000 hp but if you don't have torque it's zero.
diesel engine is made for torque not for power so it can drag heavy things.

in german "power" as an english word is sometimes used for the meaning of torque ;) but the power depends on torque, so what ^^
