@ajmac72 I row, and yes, just using the ergo will make you very fit and have a VERY strong back. Even without weights itll make you huge, not overly big but very very fit and very muscly. My coach is adopting the technique of basically just doing ergo's, as he knows some people, who i know myself who ever since leaving school have only done ergo's and gone on to be world champions. Ergos are very good, and really do test you haha, try a 2k haha

Is it as loud as it seems in the video?
Epic878787 1 year ago
@Epic878787 The Machine uses variable air resistance via a flywheel / fan which is what causes the noise. The fly wheel is attached to the handle via a fine stainless steel bicycle type chain to provide strength and long life. The sound is louder in this video due to the hard tiled floor and being in a very large room 8m x 10m with few soft furnishings. Probably not ideal if you live in a small apartment, otherwise its not that loud. This is an industrial machine that will last a lifetime.

I just bought a rowing machine myself. Is there any benefit of training on it? will it sculpture my body? an strenghthen my back?
Razor4ever 1 year ago
@Razor4ever The short answer is yes. However you need to train at least 30 minutes about 4 times a week or more to see results. To gain benefit from rowing you need to observe correct posture and technique or its possible to actually cause injuries to your knees and back - that said, rowing is VERY low impact if done correctly and is the highest calorie burning exercise you can do second only to cross country skiing. If you bought a concept 2 machine there are probably technique videos included.
