Here is some more video I took of the K40 Defuser EX (On the front) and a older K40 Defuser (on the rear). The owner also had lots of passive countermeasures on his vehicle which helps alot to improve the performance.

  • Comparing the M27 to the EX is apples to oranges. Of course you will get headlight shots with an ex it has only a single transceiver. I would suggest a test of the ex2 for an accurate comparison. You have to know that your test is slanted.. come on. Stack both m27 transceivers in the center of mass and you would get the same results.

Funny the K40 dealerS I talked to said one head on an Audi A8 would be fine.

And for the price of the EX2 you can get a M47 that 4 heads

  • Yea I don't know really about price anymore. I see them range from 199 -299 per head. $400 for 2 heads is decent. I still want to know if they link together. If they dont its a deal breaker. I'm really leaning towards the zr4 since I have the 9500i. I would be open to a blinder or a laser interceptor though. And there is always the home made option. I have a fist full of IR LEDS and an engineer that will make me an imput out put curcuit with algo's. I found a 120 WATT 904nm diode WOW ;)

  • @AskHack

Integration is highly overrated feature. The K40 calibre radar detector the guy had was getting crushed by his old school Escort 8500 X50

K40 ex Single is $330 and the Dual is $650

Zr4 isn't the best jammer really. I am only willing to recommend Blinder M27/M47 or Laser Interceptor.

What type and color car do you plan to put a jammer on?

  • how do you rate this laser jammer over all?

  • As just a jammer I don't think any headlight punchthroughs over 500 feet are accept able...Cops don't shoot just center mass , they shoot all over the front of the car.

I personally wouldn't recommend any K40 product even after the results accomplished. For just about the same cost you can get a Blinder M27 that will perform alot better.

  • i tried to post a video response. not sure if it worked or not, i was showing you the difference in radar detection with the k-40 vs the v1. i hate k-40..

  • The K40 system does not work. I can guarantee you that from professional testing. Check out the Laser Interceptor.

  • I have a silver Buick lacrosse. I am really going to have to veil the chrome on the front , thankfully my grill is not all chrome like the newest model. The lights are smaller though compared to most, so that's a plus. I would also need a parking "feature" as I now reside in IL which has band lidar jamming $50 fine lol. On another note out of curiosity of why K40 hasnt made a new portable, I bought a RD850, and I would have to say I am impressed by its performance and the lack of features.

  • Another video that proves that K40 is a piece of shite. Well done guys.
