Rescue at Pine Ridge, takes us on a journey with one of the most highly disrespected regiments in the history of the United States Military, " The Buffalo Soldiers". The gossip and rumors they experienced were false due to paranoia and racism. The civilians, their Officers, the Indians that gave them their name, who observed their bravery, gallantry and heroism, knew better. The time period is set from 1866 - 1891. The location is the vast west territory of the Untied States. The Buffalo Soldiers will keep the peace throughout the territory they patrol, from the border of Mexico, through the American Great Plains and up to the border of Canada. Chasing renegade hostile Indians, Comancheros, Outlaws, removing land hungry settlers from Indian Territory; and performing the most famous rescue of the United States Army during the Indian Wars. This was just after the "Wounded Knee Massacre", and the death of the "Ghost Dance" Medicine Man, Big Foot, at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The Sioux Nation set a trap, which almost leads to a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry at Pine Ridge, fourteen years later. Only after enduring an all night forced-march in a blizzard, the 7th Cavalry are saved from sure annihilation by the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Solders. The 9th Cavalry, K Troop, representing all the 9th Cavalry, is rewarded for accomplishments at Pine Ridge, with Presidential Parades, Escorts and Burial Detail.

  • The author has explained, create your own footprints, don't walk in others, you have. You must read...Confucius says, "It is better to be taught a fool, than to speak/write and remove all doubt!

The author says, you judged the book by its cover/title, and have been lead to walk in another's footprints.

Read the epic novel, "Rescue at Pine Ridge", and make your own judgement, don't let someone judge for you...let your eyes do the walking, don't let someone do the walking for you.

  • Sadly this description is a great insult to the Lakota people who the 7th had invaded and massacred. The author refuses to be questioned on his description and throws insults in return. You can read his responses online at the blog on the rezbomb website

  • 14 years after the Little Big Horn, the 7th Cavalry was entrapped in a box canyon, and if it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry, there would have been a second massacre of the 7th Cav.

The Buffalo Soldiers, 9th Cavalry was rewarded with Presidential Parade Escort and Guard Duties for accomplishments, furthermore; the 9th Cav. received as many citations as most of the white cavs.

Read the epic novel, "Rescue at Pine Ridge", 5 stars Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

    Long live the Buffalo Soldiers.

  • @ANTIRACIST2012 True, please read the novel...and to the theory of First Nations...the Ice Bridge Crossers beat up on the ones that were here first, the ones that built the pyramids in Central American, the ones who built the pyramids in Africa...

  • The 7th Cavalry was entrapped the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. The 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers rescued the 7th Cavalry.

Read the novel, Rescue at Pine ridge, the story of the rescue of the famed 7th Cavalry by the Buffalo Soldiers, and visit website; rescue at pine ridge. com. The novel embodies Native Americans, Outlaws and Buffalo Soldiers, in the days of the Native American Wars with the approach USA. Story is about, brutality, compassion, reprisal, bravery, heroism and gallantry.

  • @ANTIRACIST2012 Hello Antiracist 2012.

You should read the book first, what you say is true and is shown in the novel, Rescue at Pine Ridge.

    Peace.

  • "To make the west safe for all races"

First off, "race" is a debunked social construct, and many scientists today prefer the use of clines.

Second, how was this making people safe that were first nations of North america? Because the First Nations, were the victims here, not the 7th calvary that was saved by the 9th calvary.

No offence, but the 7th calvary should not of been there in the first place.
