Traveling with your pet? Check out our off-leash dog park at the Atlanta Airport. The fully fenced facility features flowers, grass, rocks, benches and two original pieces of art to sniff and enjoy.

Biodegradable bags for pet waste are also available at the dog park.

The 1,000-square-foot dog park is on the west end of the passenger terminal. The newly refurbished Ground Transportation center is the Airport's central hub for taxicab and limousine service, hotel shuttles, parking shuttles, regional buses and the new ATL SkyTrain to the rental car center.

  • Super. Anything to make traveling with our furry friends easier is really appreciated. My family is relocating and I'll be passing through with our cat. Not sure what she'll think, but it will give her a place to stretch if not too many pups around at that time- LOL-Thanks Atlanta Airport!!

  • I'm glad to see an airport providing a facility for dogs, however what would be great is a place for dogs to go outside and relieve themselves without leaving the secure area. I've got a 75 minute layover in ATL and there is no way I can make it all the way outside with my dog and back to the gate in time.

  • You know what would be nice? A place for non-travelers to view air operations. A lot of people enjoy watching and videotaping in and outbound air traffic, called "plane spotting", but with the government's ridiculous notion that groups of people with cameras pose some kind of a security risk, this activity has been seriously curtailed. Adding a viewing platform over the MARTA station would be simple and easily monitored. And, if anything, tons of people with cameras and eyes would ADD security.

  • Very nice! Way to go ATL on providing a place for our canine friends to relax! I'll be at ATL this weekend and look forward to seeing it.
