To make a bracelet out of your friendship bracelets just make a smaller version- just make sure to measure it to your finger as you go so you get the measurements correct.

For a ring you will need 35 inches of color 1 and 13-15 inches of colors 2 and 3.

For a full bracelet you will need 65 inches of color 1 and 30 inches of colors 2 and 3. (Feel free to start the bracelet with a braid since the loop created normally is just a single thread- add another inch or two to each strand so you are guaranteed to have enough to make the braids on either side of the bracelet!)

Set up your strings as 1 2 3 1

◘ PATTERN:

1. Using the left string (L1) make 1fk/bk
2. Using the right string (R1) make 1bk/fk
3. Using the mid-left string (L2) make 1fk

Repeat until desired length is achieved.

◘ TYING THE RING TOGETHER:

To tie the ring together simply fold the ring in half so the left top is lined up with the left bottom and the right top is against the right bottom. Separate your strings in pairs- the identical strand from the top will be tied to the identical strand on the bottom. Just make a normal double overhand knot to secure. Do this for every pair of top/bottom strings until you get all of them tied together.

Now all there is left to do is cut the excess string off and add a bit of tacky glue- make sure to add a nice amount of glue but don't overdo it. Mush the little dab of glue into the thread and work it into the knots so they will secure well- now just let it dry about 20 minutes and it's ready to wear. Enjoy!

  • @dmschaefer1014 Yeah, I do that when I tie on new strings with my alphas. =3

  • Another good way to seal your knots is to put a dab of glue on the strings before you tie your knots.

  • @4everSingdance Be nice. I like to visit Narnia time to time as well. I'm thinking of buying a summer home there.
