years ago when we first started fishing up there we mishandled fish too..big difference holding an 8 in brown trout with one hand as opposed to a 10 pounder or a giant stellhead..its a struggle to do all that and take pics..ive learned just like you..over time..we now just net everything..can keep the fish in the water and take our time to get ready for a photo or 2..i enjoy the fun u guys have in ur videos..anyone want some used bogas for sale? lol

We have a small lake around where I live, private, holds up to 14lb rainbows and since it's impossible for them to spawn they arent considered steelhead, they put up such a good fight and taste awesome. Keep up the fishin'!

Yeah....I am from PA and I had to learn the hard way during my first trip to the Ontario Tribs...I broke out the ultralite fenwick and 4lb test...I heard a couple laughs but proceeded anyway....Proceeded to have my line twisted into unusable fray and lost the trout of my dreams after a 15 minute stalemate....Never again will i be caught unprepared...Nice day gentlemen.

Looking back agreed. Don't use them anymore on trout. Check out this years 2009 NY trout trip video, I've uploaded recently.....no grips.

I'm working on a new NY fishing video, from a recent trip and will post it sometime soon. Some will be happy to know that caution was used on the fish handling and releasing. No griping device was used, live & learn.
